- One piece reinforcement cage throughout spigot and socket
- Water : Cement ratios typically from 0.36 to 0.40
- Precision machine moulds ensuring dimensional accuracy
- Dimensionally identical joints throughout all pipe classes, eliminating manholes at class changes
- Pipe overall lengths maximum 2.5 metres allowing compliance with transport regulations. No transport curfew restrictions.
- Non-slip external finish for safe handling.
- High speed production
- Innovative “D” and “V" profile rubber ring design, improving jointing properties, minimising detachment during placement. NB: V Profile QLD ONLY
- Circular reinforcement allows placement of pipes in any orientation i.e. no “top”
Pipe Length
All pipes manufactured by RCPA have an effective length of 2.34 metres. This has been revised from the traditional length of 2.44 metres to comply with legal restrictions placed on the transport of over width loads. This pipe length permits efficient loading configurations and removes the restrictions placed on the movement of over width vehicles.
Product Range
Steel Reinforced Concrete Pipes are manufactured in both Flush Joint and Rubber Ring Joint profiles, in the diameter range 300mm to 2100mm, with standard Load Classes of 2, 3 & 4. Higher Load Class pipes can be manufactured as special order items.
All staff and labour are drawn from the surrounding areas. We utilise local suppliers of goods and services where ever possible including supply of raw materials, transport, maintenance and consumable items.
Ability & Process of Recycling
The manufacturing techniques employed by RCPA generate small quantities of waste product. These are treated as follows: • Waste concrete – stockpiled on site for recycling at a later date, • Reinforcing steel off-cuts – collected and sent off site for specialist recycling • Finished product unsuitable for sale due to testing or defects sold as “second grade” or stockpiled for destruction and recycling.
Energy & Resource Efficiency & Conservation
The manufacturing techniques employed by RCPA allow the reprocessing of fresh product through the plant if defects are identified during production, reducing waste. RCPA uses concrete with a very low water requirement.
